We’re confused about love. Why does affection and good deeds for God, neighbors, and enemies form God’s two greatest commandments? Aren’t we supposed to be saving souls? Why does affection and kindly deeds trump faith and hope? Faith receives salvation and hope holds on to it! It’s confusing!

It’s my contention that our failure to understand LOVE accounts for the current decline in church attendance and our difficulty making a compelling case for the lordship of Jesus.
